Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of medical imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) scanners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT Scans: Utilize CT scanners to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.
  • Administer Contrast Media: Accurately interpret physicians' scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and prepare and operate the CT scan equipment to capture the appropriate images.
  • Maintain Equipment: Perform visual and manual quality control checks of CT/IR equipment, including monitors used for routine dictation/reading of clinical images.
  • Communicate with Patients: Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients, ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure, and maintain an ongoing rapport with patients to ease any anxiety.
  • Document Patient Information: Accurately document patient information, including medical history, test results, and any other relevant data.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED and certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • License: New York State license Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) and IV Contrast Certification within 3 months of employment.
