Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team at Carle Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient's status through interview, observation, and physical assessment of actual problems and outcomes
  • Develop an individualized plan of care using a collaborative approach with the patient/family and healthcare team
  • Use appropriate interventions identified in the plan of care to achieve expected patient outcomes
  • Systematically evaluate and document patient's progress toward expected outcomes/goals on an ongoing basis throughout the shift
  • Modify plan of care based on evaluation
  • Complete required documentation as appropriate, including patient chart and event reports
  • Promote the professional development of self and team members
  • Share clinical knowledge through normal teaching and in response to the learning needs of others
Requirements
  • Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
