Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment and Facilities Lead to join our team at Verve, LLC. This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a passion for maintaining and improving our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day facilities operations, including routine maintenance, work requests, and system failures.
  • Assess and assign tasks to self, technicians, or vendors to perform equipment and facilities work requests.
  • Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance program to ensure our equipment and facilities are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage and maintain sites and equipment to meet health and safety requirements, including local and state codes.
  • Perform "handyman" services, including maintenance tasks for furniture, paint, and millwork.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate work, including soliciting quotes for parts and services, communicating with landlords and retail leadership, and ensuring work is completed to standards.
  • Verify and resolve invoices, review and update work orders to ensure timely and complete job completion, and maintain records of maintenance and other facilities activities.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse at Los Angeles HQ, including storage and inventory management.
  • Oversee daily tasks of the delivery team/drivers and assist with deliveries as needed.
  • Maintain vehicles and perform other responsibilities as delegated by the Equipment and Facilities Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or certification in facilities maintenance is a plus.
  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a coffee-related environment.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with an exceptional customer service mindset.
  • Manages time efficiently with demonstrated ability to multitask.
  • Experience with GSuite and ability to utilize company platforms (Slack, Asana, etc).
  • Willingness to travel throughout Los Angeles regions as needed.
  • Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and crouching throughout the shift. Employees will also be required to lift products and packaging overhead and may frequently handle items weighing between 25 and 70 pounds. Essential vision capabilities for this role encompass close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Adept finger and wrist dexterity are also essential for successful performance in this position.
