Operations Director, Facilities Management

Job Summary:
The Operations Director, Facilities is a key leadership role responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the Apple Canyon Center. This position works closely with the Executive Director and Camp Board of Trustees to define the camp's priorities and evaluate effectiveness based on the organization's vision, mission, goals, and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a facility business plan to maximize the use of the camp facility in accordance with organizational program and financial goals.
- Lead the development and execution of site and building projects to facilitate program needs.
- Ensure facility operations meet or exceed required federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as industry accreditation standards.
- Supervise the Site and Facilities Department, including the Operations Manager, Operations Associate, and Seasonal Operations Associate.
- Oversee the security of the Apple Canyon Center and lead the organization and execution of facility maintenance and upgrade work-end events utilizing volunteers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with at least 7 to 10 years of experience in senior-level management and facilities oversight.
- Prior camp facility management and supervision experience is required.
- Prior work with children with special needs is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work a flexible schedule.
Working Conditions:
- The work environment is typically moderate, but may require the use of hearing protection.
- The employee must be available to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
