Overview:
We are currently seeking candidates for various shifts who are physically capable of lifting up to 90 pounds.

This position involves overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Supply Chain Tactical Operations Group to fulfill customer needs by managing forecasts, capacity plans, production schedules, inventory control, and the timely replenishment of materials to production lines, either personally or through team members.


Key Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of personnel within the Supply Chain Tactical Operations department.

2. Ensure that team leaders and their staff receive the necessary training and coaching to meet and exceed performance expectations.

3. Identify, recruit, and nurture employees for future leadership roles.

4. Collaborate closely with Operations to create precise capacity plans.

5. Recommend resource reallocation to optimize production capabilities, including level loading, shift adjustments, and factory assignments.

6. Utilize statistical methods to estimate future material requirements.

7. Identify opportunities for inventory reduction and suggest actions for excess and obsolete inventory.

8. Oversee inventory accuracy, including cycle counts and physical inventory processes.


Assist in coordinating and implementing engineering and material changes, maintaining a master schedule for both firm and forecasted business, and analyzing future production needs.


This may involve workforce planning strategies to ensure that machine load and workforce align with departmental production requirements, including maintaining and planning kanbans, calculating kanban quantities, or MRP-generated requirements.


Act as the liaison between the organization, customers, and suppliers to address receiving and invoicing issues, facilitate the resolution of quality concerns, and ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies.

Direct investigations into customer or supplier complaints and respond appropriately.


Continuously review and establish procedures, training, and application systems interfaces; develop performance metrics, monitor performance, and recommend improvements for inventory control, material planning, and production control.

Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and meaningful metrics to assess the performance of all three areas.

Maintain and enhance planning and implementation procedures for the organization, ensuring they represent best practices while being scalable for future growth.Recommend the operational budget for the department and approve requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies within budgetary limits.


Review and analyze financial and operational reports to identify needs for increased efficiencies, schedule modifications, or reallocation of priorities.

Review and approve weekly Department Expense Reports.

Provide constructive feedback to employees both verbally and in writing.

Document feedback through Confirmation of Conversations (COC) and participate in annual performance evaluations for staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead the Supply Chain Tactical Operations team, including Production Control, Material Planning, Tactical Purchasing, and Inventory Control.

Assess, coach, and develop team members.

Actively mentor and guide direct reports in developing their Supply Chain professional skills to facilitate advancement and knowledge.

Possess strong leadership qualities, including integrity, organizational skills, the ability to motivate others, and the initiative to drive change.

Excellent listening and follow-up skills are essential.

Strong interpersonal skills are required.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A four-year college degree in business or a related field is required.

APICS Certification (CPIM) is preferred.

A minimum of eight years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Proficiency in MS Office is necessary.

Understanding and application of strategic planning practices to establish Supply Chain objectives and design efficient, executable plans is essential.

Knowledge of industry trends and economic outlooks is important.

Familiarity with modern manufacturing techniques, such as LEAN Production, is a plus.

LANGUAGE / COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.

Ability to communicate effectively at various levels within the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in college-level mathematics is required.

REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze situations promptly and accurately.

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong problem-solving and analytical decision-making skills are essential.

Ability to make sound judgments in critical situations.

Work will be conducted in a manufacturing floor and office environment, involving frequent sitting, walking, and standing, with occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing.

Frequent use of hand-eye coordination is necessary for operating office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity is required for effective interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as telephones.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Occasional domestic travel may be required.

Who You Are:
High School diploma or GED is required.

Certification as a forklift operator is preferred.

Experience in material handling and/or warehouse operations is preferred.
