Position Overview

The Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist plays a pivotal role in overseeing all facets of product supply, availability, and inventory oversight. This position is crucial for implementing category sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity, product quality, and competitive pricing in both domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute strategies, programs, and policies that align with operational needs.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to guarantee the availability of high-quality products at competitive rates.
  • Manage supplier relationships, evaluate supplier performance, and pinpoint opportunities for cost reductions and process enhancements.
  • Engage with essential supply chain teams, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Distribution, and Logistics, to achieve organizational objectives and enhance value and efficiency.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess supplier performance, including lead times, fill rates, and compliance metrics.
  • Oversee and manage inventory levels across various third-party distribution centers.
  • Support product innovation, market testing, sustainability initiatives, and strategic projects from a supply-related viewpoint.
  • Analyze and report on supply chain metrics to identify improvement areas and foster continuous enhancement.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in analyzing inventory data and understanding distribution center operations, purchase order processes, and freight logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data manipulation and analysis.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to multitask and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including formal presentation capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiar with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Ability to be proactive, results-driven, and a self-starter capable of working independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, with relevant experience in Food Manufacturing or Distribution.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • A background in agriculture is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
