Job Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Neurovascular Technologist to join our team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Carotid Ultrasound, Transcranial Doppler studies, and emboli detection with a high degree of technical and professional competence.
  • Explain procedures to patients, perform studies, recognize and eliminate artifacts, calibrate equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and select appropriate settings to obtain quality data.
  • Provide technical descriptions of studies and communicate urgent findings immediately with Neurovascular/Stroke physicians.
  • Assist with special studies, participate in training technologists, fellows, and residents under the supervision of the Neurovascular lab medical director.
  • Responsible for scheduling appointments, maintaining communication across inpatient units, and ensuring billing accuracy.
  • Participate in teaching conferences and technical meetings, maintain CEUs/Credentials, and adhere to State & Federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Required.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) preferred.
  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required).
  • Completion of an accredited vascular program or 2+ years of prior vascular lab work experience and board eligible.
