We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurovascular Technologist to join our team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. As a key member of our neurovascular lab, you will be responsible for performing high-quality vascular imaging studies, including carotid ultrasound, transcranial Doppler, and emboli detection.
Key Responsibilities- Perform vascular imaging studies with a high degree of technical and professional competence
- Explain procedures to patients, perform studies, recognize and eliminate artifacts, and calibrate equipment
- Provide technical descriptions of studies and communicate urgent findings to neurovascular/Stroke physicians
- Assist with special studies, participate in training technologists, fellows, and residents, and maintain inventory of supplies
- Responsible for scheduling appointments, maintaining communication across inpatient units, and ensuring billing accuracy
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) preferred
- High School Diploma/GED and completion of an accredited vascular program or 2+ years of prior vascular lab work experience and board eligibility
