Job Title: EEG Technologist - Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technologist to join our team at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. As an EEG Technologist, you will be responsible for performing adult/neonatal EEG studies under the direction of a physician.

Responsibilities:
  • Explaining the test procedure to patients and applying recording, monitoring, and stimulating electrodes
  • Recognizing and eliminating artifact, calibrating equipment, and troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Selecting appropriate amplifier settings and obtaining quality data
  • Providing technical descriptions of EEG studies and communicating urgent findings with physicians
  • Maintaining accurate records and billing information
  • Participating in teaching conferences and technical meetings
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG T.) certification preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited EEG school program or 3+ years of prior EEG work experience
