Job Summary

The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician A/B to support the daily operation of the Ryan Hospital pharmacy. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for processing outpatient, inpatient, and mail-order prescriptions, as well as performing data entry, fulfillment, and quality assurance checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process submitted prescriptions, including counting pills, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications
  • Verify accuracy of prescriptions processed by other staff
  • Receive incoming supplies, verify stock, and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Rotate through the outpatient pharmacy and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of pharmacy-related experience, or a minimum of a 2-year college degree in lieu of certification with a minimum of 2 years of pharmacy-related experience
  • Open availability to work between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
