Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical support to physicians and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for physician assessment
- Record and maintain patient medical data in their chart
- Assist physicians with answering phone requests from patients and other medical professionals
- Perform various physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical patient procedures
- Maintain equipment, instruments, and supply inventory levels
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Current MA certification from a recognized organization (e.g. AMT, NCCT, AAMA, NAHP, NHA)
- Basic knowledge of ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions and procedures
- Working knowledge of medical practice management information systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet all HIPAA requirements
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced medical office environment, with frequent standing, walking, and keyboard operation. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required to perform the job safely.
