Medical Specimen Collector

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Specimen Collector to join our team at MedTeam Staffing. As a Medical Specimen Collector, you will play a critical role in assisting in the collection and processing of medical specimens for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and store medical specimens according to established procedures
- Properly label and centrifuge specimens as required
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes
- Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature
- Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations
- Attend annual department trainings and answer telephone calls
Requirements:
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- High School Diploma or GED
