Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative II to join our team at Conifer Health Solutions. As a key member of our patient access team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient registration process for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling: You will be responsible for performing patient registration, scheduling, and pre-admission activities, ensuring accurate and complete demographic information is obtained.
  • Customer Service: You will provide exceptional customer service to our patients, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Clearance: You will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility, as well as obtaining necessary authorizations for hospital services.
  • Compliance: You will ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and Conifer Health Solutions' policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience: 0-1 year of customer service experience; 0-1 year of administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; proficiency in PC/CRT/printer; knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures.
Work Environment

You will be working in a hospital administration setting, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. You must be able to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods, occasionally lift/carry items weighing up to 25 lbs, and frequently stand, sit, and walk.
