Job Summary

As a Patient Access Representative II at Conifer Health Solutions, you will play a critical role in supporting departmental efficiencies by performing scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception and discharge functions. You will be responsible for obtaining complete and accurate patient demographic information and employing proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during & after date of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and provide world-class customer service, completing full patient registration at date of service, adhering to financial & cash control policies & procedures, and thoroughly explaining and securing Hospital & patient legal forms.
  • Educate patients about patient financial liabilities, employ proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques, and perform Hospital cash reconciliation & secured payment entry in adherence to financial & cash control policies & procedures.
  • Secure medical necessity checks/verification in accordance to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services, verify insurance, benefits, coverage & eligibility, complete assigned registration financial clearance work lists activities, obtain insurance authorizations for scheduled & unscheduled Hospital services, and secure inpatient visit notification to payors.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 0 – 1 year in a Customer Service role
  • 0 – 1 year administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred
  • Some college coursework is preferred
