Patient Access Representative II

As a Patient Access Representative II at Conifer Health Solutions, you will play a critical role in supporting departmental efficiencies by performing scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception and discharge functions. You will be responsible for obtaining complete and accurate patient demographic information, employing proper and compliant patient liability collection techniques, and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed and filed accurately.
Key Responsibilities- Greeting and Registration: Greet customers in a professional and courteous manner, complete full patient registration at date of service, and adhere to financial and cash control policies and procedures.
- Financial Clearance: Educate patients about patient financial liabilities, employ proper and compliant patient liability collection techniques, and perform hospital cash reconciliation and secured payment entry in adherence to financial and cash control policies and procedures.
- Insurance Verification: Verify insurance, benefits, coverage, and eligibility, complete assigned registration financial clearance work lists activities, obtain insurance authorizations for scheduled and unscheduled hospital services, and secure inpatient visit notification to payors.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 0-1 year in a customer service role, with 0-1 year administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
- Skills: Minimum typing skills of 35 wpm, demonstrated working knowledge of PC/CRT/printer, and customer service skills and experience.
