Job Summary:

ITW Permatex is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to maintain and control inventory for all maintenance supplies, manuals, and literature.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Develops and maintains a spare parts inventory control system, including cataloging by equipment, part, and location.
  • Computer System Utilization: Utilizes a computer system to access part numbers, item locations, vendor identification numbers, and vendor contact information.
  • Issuance and Accountability: Issues parts, supplies, and tools to mechanics and is accountable for all items while in the tool cage.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Monitors spare parts inventory to flag unusually high and low levels and reports to appropriate personnel.
  • Receipt and Warehousing: Reviews receipts and packing slips to ensure new parts are received complete and items are warehoused in appropriate locations.
  • File Maintenance: Maintains files of equipment manuals, parts lists, prints, etc.
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Reviews purchasing requisitions, coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services, and confers with vendors to obtain product or service information.
  • Invoice Approval: May approve invoices for payment upon receipt of goods, based on proper signature approval on PO request.
  • Emergency Parts: Drops off or picks up emergency parts as necessary.
  • Additional Duties: Performs various other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma/GED with experience in mechanical operations and terminology.
  • Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate to continuously enter data into the computer system.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized and detail-oriented to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Math and Reading Skills: Math skills and reading skills required.
