Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Store Driver to join our team at Advance Auto Parts. As a Store Driver, you will be responsible for delivering parts to our commercial customers, assisting with task and inventory processes in the store, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Deliver Parts: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts to our commercial customers.
  • Pick and Stage Parts: Select and stage parts for customer orders, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
  • Pick Up Returns and Cores: Collect returns and cores from customers, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Drop Off Weekly/Monthly Sales Flyer: Deliver sales flyers to customers, promoting our products and services.
  • Daily Collection of Credit Accounts: Collect credit accounts from customers, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Store Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot.
  • General Stocking: Assist with stocking and inventory management, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
Requirements
  • Basic Driving and Navigation Ability: Possess a valid driver's license and demonstrate basic driving and navigation skills.
  • Ability to Use Delivery Board System: Familiarity with delivery board systems and ability to use them accurately.
  • Friendly Communication: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
  • Ability to Locate and Stock Parts: Demonstrate the ability to locate and stock parts accurately and efficiently.
  • Safety Knowledge and Skills: Possess a basic understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Operating Inventory Systems and Store Equipment: Familiarity with inventory systems and store equipment, with the ability to operate them accurately.
Essential Job Skills
  • Communicate Effectively: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
  • Read and Interpret Documents: Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic Math Skills: Possess basic math skills, with the ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to Work Varied Schedules: Possess the ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Preferred Experience
  • Automotive Parts Experience: Prior experience in the automotive parts industry is preferred but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and be able to be fleet safety certified.
Physical Demands

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is usually working inside; however, they will occasionally be outside and exposed to various weather conditions while performing such tasks as installing batteries and wiper blades. The employee is also occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; explosives; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Compensation Range: $13.15 USD PER HOUR - $13.98 USD PER HOUR
