Pipeline Leader

KIPP Chicago is seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our Principals in Residence (PIR) program. As a PIR, you will have the opportunity to develop the skills and competencies required to lead high-performing schools.
The PIR's role mirrors that of an assistant principal, with responsibilities including coaching and developing teachers, teacher leaders, and deans, as well as contributing to the overall academic and cultural vision of the school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coaching and developing teachers, teacher leaders, and deans
- Contributing to the overall academic and cultural vision of the school
- Leading the planning and goal setting for grades/departments
- Modeling strong staff and student culture
- Managing parts of the daily school operations
- Supporting teachers in understanding process and roles in student support and intervention
- Collaborating with the School Leader to hire and retain diverse, highly-effective staff
In addition to these responsibilities, PIRs will receive formal professional development aligned to Chicago's leadership competencies and targeting specific developmental needs.
