Job Title: Per Diem Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Per Diem Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Per Diem Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities to live a higher quality of life.

Job Summary:

The Per Diem Direct Support Professional will provide support to program participants that meets their needs, promotes community integration, and creates a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment. This role requires a strong commitment to providing person-centered services and supports, as well as a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to program participants that meets their needs, promotes community integration, and creates a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment.
  • Assist participants with regularly accessing the community to take part in a variety of outings of the participants' choosing.
  • Ensure that participants are treated with dignity and consideration at all times, and promote and safeguard each participant's ability to make decisions and to freely exercise their rights.
  • Interact with participants, provide informal counseling and problem-solving with participants, and attend staff meetings as required.
  • Take part in the development and implementation of the Individual Instruction and Support Plan (IISP) for each participant with whom they work.
  • Provide necessary support and supervision of participants, and maintain professional working relationships with other services providers, the participants' parents/relatives/guardians, and other agency staff.
Requirements:
  • Both written and spoken English language proficiency required.
  • High School Diploma / Equivalent required.
  • Washington State Driver's License, a Reliable Vehicle, Auto Insurance, and must be willing to transport clients.
  • Must be located in & eligible/authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.
  • First Aid/CPR Certified (training can be provided).
  • Have an active NAR/HCA/CNA, and have an active CPI certification (preferred).
  • Blood Borne Pathogen (within 120 days of employment, training can be provided).
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Be fully vaccinated from Covid-19 (or have an approved exemption).
