Responsibilities- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients, and provide education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Perform testing and report results to physicians, and document all findings in patient medical records.
- Assist physicians with patient visits and exams, and participate in revenue cycle management.
- Provide telephone triage and document all patient, physician, and other contacts.
- Perform medication administration using universal precautions and document appropriately in patient medical records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, communicate effectively with patients and families, and demonstrate a caring attitude.
- Treat all patients and families with dignity and respect, and act in a non-directive, non-judgmental manner.
- Follow universal precautions and OSHA standards, and perform other assigned duties as directed.
- Current/valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state where services will be provided.
- Maintain and possess a state RN license.
- Maintain CPR certification.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
