Head of Residential Programs

The Head of Residential Programs is tasked with overseeing the various initiatives and services offered by the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches across its three residential facilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective management of residential services and providing guidance to program staff in the areas of development, administration, and coordination of services.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide consultation for the management and supervision of residential services and facilities.
- Recruit, train, and supervise Program Directors, Campus Life Director, and Clinical Director; evaluate performance, address concerns, and resolve issues.
- Deliver risk management training for new hires across all residential facilities, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the organization and its regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with the Vice President of Programs and staff to ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, contracts, and Medicaid applications.
- Facilitate relationships between various programs and services.
- Assist in the development of new programs or modifications to existing services in conjunction with the Vice President of Programs.
- Maintain partnerships with District/Regional DCF, DJJ, Medicaid, and other relevant agencies.
- Work with the Quality Improvement Director to create policies, procedures, and training materials.
- Provide guidance on budget management and revenue-generating activities to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure that all required documentation and case records are accurately maintained and completed in a timely manner.
- Support Donor Relations staff in fostering relationships with donors, volunteers, and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality service and engagement.
- Address problem areas and undertake special projects as assigned by the Executive Vice President.
- Manage relationships with consulting psychiatrists to ensure high standards of customer service.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in a relevant human services field from an accredited institution is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of seven years of experience in a social service environment, with at least five years in a supervisory or administrative role. Preference will be given to those with experience in managing multi-service, multi-site agencies with residential components.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, sitting, talking, and reaching. The employee may occasionally lift objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
