Family Engagement Specialist I

At the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Engagement Specialist I to join our team. This role is responsible for providing residential screening and parent education for youth and/or families who have requested our services.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field, and at least two years of experience in child welfare and/or working with children with serious emotional disturbances. The successful candidate will be able to work cooperatively with our staff, engage community partners, and provide time-limited aftercare support and networking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receives and responds to incoming inquiries and requests for services within 24 hours.
- Assists families in obtaining evaluation and consultation for psychological, physical, and learning problems.
- Develops and maintains accurate case record documentation and submits timely reports.
- Assists families in identifying community resources and developing alternative plans.
- Maintains a resource knowledge within the assigned outreach area and engages in quality relationships with community partners.
