Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Electrical Systems Technician will be responsible for on-site installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of electrical systems and equipment for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completes quality assurance and quality control revisions for finalized construction documentation.
  • Interprets and analyzes schematics and technical drawings related to electrical, mechanical, and architectural specifications.
  • Repairs and calibrates system components (sensors, transmitters, programmable logic controllers, etc.); replaces faulty parts as necessary.
  • Installs wiring through conduits, openings, and connects wires to establish circuits.
  • Conducts tests on circuits to verify integrity and safety standards.
  • Documents daily field service reports and tracks hours worked and equipment utilized.
  • Manages inventory transfers and submits monthly inventory reports for the warehouse.
  • Senior technicians will complete training documentation for junior staff.
  • Provides mentorship and training for electrical apprentices.
  • Adheres to company safety protocols and policies.
  • Available for on-call support as needed.
  • Performs additional tasks as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Technical training or experience in the energy sector.
  • Instrumentation and electrical experience required.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting instrumentation.
  • Experience with pressure and electrical testing equipment for system diagnostics.
  • Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
  • Willingness to work extended hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Proven track record of maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize an ERP system, preferably IFS with Aurena Tech Portal.
  • Certification in Standard First Aid/CPR with AED, OSHA 30, and Safeland; OSHA 500 certification preferred.
  • Possession of a valid Class D Driver's License.
  • Journeyman certification.
