Job Title: Instrumentation and Electrical Technician

Streamline Innovations, Inc. is seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to join our team. As an I&E Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our operations through a combination of sustaining activities and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems.
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation, including transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches, relays, etc.
  • Inspect, repair, and replace transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, and electrical systems.
  • Work with a wide variety of instruments, including ultrasonic, guided wave radar, mass flow, pressure transducers, RTDs, etc.
  • Understand piping and instrument diagrams, signal flow diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel drawings, one-line drawings, loop sheets, and wire lists.
  • Perform all duties in a manner consistent with environmental, health, and safety policies.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns.
  • Provide technical and hands-on support as required during shutdowns.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, including low voltage 24VDC to 480VAC.
  • Work from instrument drawings and P&IDs, identify end devices and components.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five plus years of experience in instrumentation of equipment required.
  • Knowledge and experience in the design, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment required.
  • Working knowledge of PLC, HMI, and automated equipment & standard instrumentation types (4-20 mA, 0-5 V, pulse, MODBUS) required.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and one-line diagrams required.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with cross-functional teams of electrical technicians, mechanics, welders, operations personnel, engineers, and safety professionals required.
  • Journeyman electrician certification is preferred.
  • Natural gas industry experience is preferred.
Work Environment:
  • Controlled office environment.
  • Field work covering Texas, New Mexico, and other remote locations.
  • Equipment fabrication shops and panel shops.
  • Customer offices will be as needed based on project requirements.
  • Driving to and from location is required.
  • Compliance with general industry and site-specific safety policies is required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift a 25lbs or more at a time required.
  • Must be able to stand for as long as up to 4 hours.
  • Must be able to drive on behalf of the company.
