Academic Inpatient Physiatrist

University of Minnesota Physicians is a non-profit organization seeking a driven individual to lead our physiatry services as the Medical Director of an adult Transitional Care Unit (TCU) within a large, academic healthcare center.
The TCU is a 28-bed licensed skilled nursing unit located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River and University of Minnesota campus. The unit serves patients who are medically complex and no longer need acute hospitalization.
As the TCU Medical Director, you will be responsible for partnering with the management team in organizing and directing physiatry services and practicing on the unit, in agreement with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and standards, and rules and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have experience providing leadership in the inpatient setting, driving performance of key clinical metrics, and treating complex medical conditions. You will also provide hospital physiatry consultations and have an outpatient clinic.
