About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiatrist to join our dynamic and growing academic medicine department as a full-time academic physiatrist. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient General Physiatry care within the M Health Fairview system, serving patients with a range of complex medical conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputee, multiple sclerosis, musculoskeletal injuries, and complex neurological conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with the PM&R Medical Director/Division Director and leadership to build strong relationships with referring departments and units, maintaining and strengthening the program.
  • Participate in call coverage at the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (IRF) on a rotating basis and provide cross-coverage of inpatient services for absences, as needed.
  • Work with APP's and trainees in inpatient and outpatient settings, mentoring and training the next generation of healthcare professionals.
  • Close all patient encounters before eight (8) calendar days.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited PM&R residency training program.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible with the American Board of PM&R (ABPM&R).
  • Eligible to obtain a Minnesota Board of Medical Practice license.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
