Academic Psychiatrist

About the Role:
The University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to fill an Academic Track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. This role will consist of 0.90 clinical FTE serving as an inpatient attending on an academic adult inpatient unit, teaching and supervising residents and medical students, leading and participating in case reviews and conferences for education. Additionally, 0.10 academic FTE will be allocated to support the missions of the University and medical school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional psychiatric adult inpatient services for the University of Minnesota Medical Center academic units.
- Work with the adult inpatient psychiatry team and clinical leadership to provide evidence-based inpatient services.
- Collaborate with inpatient leadership to achieve the missions of clinical, education, and research.
- Partner with administrative leadership to maintain and constantly improve high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Lead by example and engage learners and staff in creating a positive work environment that values excellence and teamwork.
- Support coverage for other providers when needed, including evening and weekend coverage as delivered in the call schedule.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Psychiatry residency training program.
- Board certified/Board eligible.
- Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
