Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests at the Eglin AFB Lodging Facility. The Guest Services Representative will be the first point of contact for guests, handling room reservations, check-ins, and check-outs, as well as providing information and assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and confirm room reservations by phone, email, or in person
  • Register and assign rooms to guests, issue room keys, and escort guests to rooms as needed
  • Ensure that only authorized patrons use government-sponsored quarters
  • Calculate and post charges to patrons' accounts and balance totals with control records
  • Accept payment, make change, and present departing guests with checkout statements
  • Prepare and safeguard cash receipts, prepare daily cashier's report, and daily activity report
  • Maintain current checkout list, sell sundry sales items to patrons, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Ensure required information is received from guests and entered into guest folio, print backup reports from property management system, and update housekeeping status of rooms
  • Record and notify appropriate person/organization of maintenance problems reported by guests, ensure front desk area and lobby remains clean, and process Night Audit procedures and close credit card machines nightly
  • Maintain the lost and found program and ensure that customer service is the first priority
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in general clerical or cashier work, with the ability to perform satisfactorily in handling multiple tasks and providing quality customer service. Must be able to read, speak, and write English, meet state and legal age requirement for sale of alcoholic beverages, and satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation.

This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) position carrying out Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities for the Air Force and Space Force.
