Job Title: Customer Service Department Leader

At Smith's Food and Drug, we're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Customer Service Department Leader, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our customers. Your leadership skills will be put to the test as you direct and supervise the day-to-day functions of the Front-end department, ensuring that our customers receive outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Create an environment that encourages customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions and providing product information.
  • Leadership: Direct and supervise Front-end associates to achieve company and store goals, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and efficient ordering processes.
  • Financial Management: Manage cash control, sales, and cash items, as well as maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Store Operations: Oversee the efficient operation of the Front-end department, adhering to all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Effective Communication: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate company, department, and job-specific information to associates.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct associates to achieve company and store goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations and make sound decisions.
  • Knowledge: Have a basic understanding of math concepts, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
