Produce Department Assistant

At Super Save, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Department Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for assisting the Produce Manager in all aspects of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Produce Manager in receiving, pricing, and stocking produce products.
- Ensure proper disposition of damaged and spoiled products according to company policy.
- Communicate and coordinate with the Produce Manager to ensure smooth department operations.
- Implement and follow department merchandising plans to maintain a visually appealing and organized store environment.
- Assist in training department teammates and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of various types of produce products and ability to operate produce department equipment.
- Excellent customer relations skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent exposure to refrigerated storage areas and damp, humid conditions.
- Works on wet or slippery surfaces and is subject to communicable disease.
