Job Description

IES Communications is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful installation and close-out of our commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Close-out Redlines: Verify that all infrastructure is installed to design/spec and finalize redlines for close-out.
  • Fiber Scope: Check and verify all fiber scope, including internal trackers and design updates.
  • Copper Installation: Ensure that all copper installations are completed to print and verify before close-out.
  • Network Configuration: Configure network details and implement redlines as needed.
  • RFI Management: Oversee RFI referencing and implementation, including acceptance/rejections and formal notifications to applicable teams.
  • Design and Documentation: Verify and submit design-related documents, including BIM360 submissions and revisions.
  • Lessons Learned: Contribute to the development of lessons learned documents, including updates throughout the build process.
  • Warranties and Submittals: Gather and submit warranty information, as well as complete product submittals.
  • Labels and Tracking: Assist with label printing and tracking, including sign-out sheets and email notifications.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
  • Ability to work well with others and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to define a project, create a project scope of work, and manage tasks to final completion and customer turnover.
