Job Summary

This position provides personal financial services at assigned military installations. The primary responsibilities include delivering comprehensive financial counseling services to military service members and their families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of personal finance, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one counseling and consultation services to military service members and their families.
  • Develop and deliver financial education programs, including workshops and briefings, to promote financial literacy and stability.
  • Collaborate with installation and military branch Points of Contact to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with installation needs.
  • Manage duty to warn situations according to Department of Defense protocol.
  • Participate in regular supervision, training, and quality improvement activities to enhance professional development and program effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; may consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required.
  • Must have over a thousand hours of financial counseling experience and one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
