Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Wearelegence. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the planning, execution, and delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in overall planning and scheduling, resource allocation, and project accounting.
  • Collaborate with General Contractors and Owners to maintain strong relationships.
  • Source and procure materials from vendors, ensuring timely delivery and best pricing.
  • Manage project schedules, billings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure project completion.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including specifications, instructions to bidders, and construction drawings.
  • Assist with project estimating, including reviewing specifications and construction drawings.
  • Identify and generate pre-bid Requests for Information.
  • Track project issues and communicate with the Project Manager.
  • Prepare project closeout documents and internal work documents.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in the construction industry, preferably with an HVAC or Plumbing Mechanical Contractor.
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or related construction degree.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
