Job Details

Northland Control Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

The Project Engineer will provide full support to the PMO, Program, and Project Managers by assisting with scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment documentation, and information
  • Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives
  • Ensure client needs are met as the project evolves
  • Participate in site meetings
  • Assist in preparing action plans using resources from time and budget projects
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and with high quality standards
  • Assist in monitoring project progress and respond to issues as they arise
  • Act as a point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
  • Work with project and program managers to eliminate project blockers
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenses/expenditures
  • Create and maintain project documentation, plans, and reports
  • Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests
  • Manage small moves, adds, and changes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 2 or more years' field and project planning experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Planner, Project)
  • Strong working knowledge of BlueBeam and PlanGrid
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, scheduled, and step-by-step action plans
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices
