Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to inform business decisions and identify areas for cost reduction and operational enhancements.
  • Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Implement and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by staying up-to-date on existing and new legislation.
  • Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel) and accounting software (Access).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Comprehensive analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in analyzing large data sets to identify trends and insights.
  • Experience in managing projects and improving financial processes within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, preferably in the cosmetics sector.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
