Job Title: Commercial Lines Operations Manager

At Gregory & Appel Insurance, we're seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lines Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the commercial insurance service staff to support the renewal and development of new Property and Casualty business for the agency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the commercial lines service department while working with the management team to develop and implement organizational strategies, policies, and practices.
  • Responsible for staffing needs of the Commercial Operations department, including input on hiring decisions and recommending staffing adjustments based on annual revenue projections and workloads.
  • Serve as a mentor to Commercial Operations staff and oversee the personal career development plans for each employee in the Commercial Operations department.
  • Accountable for the measurement of staff service efforts, including outstanding expirations, overdue activities, book revenue, and other metrics.
  • Assure compliance with department procedures, utilizing file audit process techniques.
  • Assist with department training issues, including assessing training needs and assisting in the development of training programs.
  • Responsible for traditional management duties, including the annual budgeting process, limited expense approval, and the tracking of staff attendance.
  • Participate in the management of global agency issues as deemed appropriate by management.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue team to ensure a quality client experience.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of management experience required.
  • 6-8 years of commercial lines experience, agency experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree or combined equivalent years of education and experience.
  • P&C License is required.
