**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced Executive Director of Operations to join our team at Electrician Recruiter. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our commercial laundry and linen service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment and protect all company assets.
- Team Management: Oversee the Production Manager, Stockroom Manager, Maintenance Manager, and team leads, focusing on training and development of production staff.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate in developing and implementing company policies, and lead all production department activities to achieve long-term goals and profitability growth targets.
- Operational Efficiency: Develop and reinforce adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Financial Management: Assist with annual budgeting and monthly P&L reviews, with full ownership of production-related expenses and KPI performance.
- Customer Retention: Work closely with the Service and Sales departments to support customer retention and drive new business growth initiatives.
- Apparel Division: Provide strategic oversight and direction for the Apparel Division to meet business objectives.
- Industry Training: Attend industry training and networking events 2-3 times annually.
Top 3 Goals:
- Safe and Efficient Plant Operations: Develop Production Manager and Maintenance Manager.
- Financial Performance: Manage budgets and P&L to ensure profitable operations and continuous improvement at all of the company's facilities.
- Results-Driven: Drive for results, ensuring customers receive quality products, improving efficiencies, and reducing labor and operating expenses.
How Success is Measured:
- P&L Performance: Profit and Loss statement performance.
- PPOH: Production Per Operating Hour.
- Labor Percentage: Labor costs as a percentage of total costs.
- Utility Utilization/Costs: Utility costs and utilization.
- Order Fill Rates: Order fulfillment rates.
- Safety Performance: Safety metrics and performance.
- Condition of Plant and Equipment: Condition and maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Accurate Reporting: Accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
- Team/Culture Satisfaction: Team and culture satisfaction metrics.
- Turnover: Employee turnover rates.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 4 years of plant management or GM experience in a commercial laundry operation.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and manage a team's performance.
- Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of plant operation methods, equipment, techniques, engineering, and maintenance.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows applications, especially Excel.
- Team Player: Willing and able to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
- Education: College degree preferred.
