Position Overview

At Signature Analytics, we are dedicated to delivering high-level fractional accounting and business advisory services tailored for small to mid-sized enterprises and nonprofit organizations across the United States. This includes experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, and Sage Intacct, as well as applications like Expensify and Ramp.
  • Networking Skills: Eager to cultivate relationships with nonprofit organizations, leaders, and board members. An existing network within the nonprofit community is advantageous.
  • Audit Preparation: Capable of preparing clients for a seamless audit experience, including the development of supporting documentation.
  • Trusted Advisor: Fosters mutual respect and accountability in client relationships, focusing on value creation and emotional connection rather than transactional interactions. Open to providing financial and accounting guidance to help clients achieve their objectives.
  • Organizational Skills: Proficient in managing details and daily tasks in a remote work environment, effectively compartmentalizing clients and managing multiple engagements.
  • Leadership Qualities: Inspires and guides team members, resolves conflicts, and promotes a collaborative atmosphere.

SUCCESS INDICATORS:

  • Quickly adapts to new challenges, prioritizes tasks effectively, and communicates efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborates with the operations team to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
  • Contributes significantly to the national expansion of our nonprofit practice, actively training team members and clients in nonprofit accounting methodologies.
  • Participates in the operational leadership team, providing insights beyond vertical expertise to support overall growth.
  • Recognized by peers as a go-to resource for expertise and advice.
  • Exhibits adaptability, curiosity, and a meticulous approach to work.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES:

  • Adaptability: Ability to adjust to diverse organizational cultures and service needs within the nonprofit sector.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing education and staying informed about industry trends and methodologies.
  • Active Listening: Builds and maintains positive client relationships through empathy and understanding.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintains and enhances expertise in the nonprofit sector, understanding its unique challenges and trends.
  • Attention to Detail: Delivers accurate and timely financial reports, managing risks associated with the month-end closing process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience in nonprofit accounting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
