We are currently seeking a Thermoforming Machine Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and troubleshooting machinery utilized in the production of premium food packaging solutions.

Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule: 7:00 pm - 7:15 am. Rotating 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends off.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety:
  • Ensure that equipment used in the thermoforming process is operated correctly and that all safety mechanisms are functional.
  • Be prepared to manage machinery during emergencies, including power outages and equipment failures.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Understand and execute Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
  • Report any safety concerns or workplace incidents to the supervisor immediately.
Quality Assurance:
  • Interpret job specifications to determine necessary machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Adjust settings to maintain compliance with processing standards.
  • Conduct quality assurance tests and inspections to ensure product integrity.
  • Maintain production within company scrap targets.
  • Complete daily MCL tasks and work to minimize rejected rolls.
  • Produce high-quality food packaging through the thermoforming process.
  • Identify and address quality issues promptly.
  • Monitor in-line inspections and perform re-inspections as needed.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Productivity:
  • Aim for 100% on-time completion of scheduled production.
  • Operate multiple types of extruder lines and forming machines.
  • Adjust machine components to control speeds, pressures, and material flow.
  • Monitor machine operations and respond to alerts indicating malfunctions.
  • Handle material transport and finished products efficiently.
  • Possess the ability to operate a lift truck.
  • Assist with the rail-car system and material conveying processes.
Administrative Duties:
  • Complete daily logs and reports as required.
  • Perform assigned cleaning and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Deliver scrap materials to the reprocessing area appropriately.
  • Execute basic troubleshooting and resolve processing issues.
  • Notify the supervisor of any processing or maintenance concerns.
  • Support colleagues in machine setup and transportation of finished products.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and arrive on time for shifts.
  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in machining.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Experience in thermoforming is essential.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Capability to operate floor loading trucks may be required.
  • Moderate computer proficiency.
  • Commitment to safety and willingness to train in various areas as needed.
