Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Production Finishing Specialist to enhance our team. This role is centered around the setup and operation of commercial label inspection machinery, with a strong emphasis on visual quality assurance. The specialist will manage equipment to convert continuous lengths of printed materials into specified strip widths.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive job directives from the Press Supervisor or Team Lead; interpret job specifications and select appropriate cores and rewind methods for each task.
  • Examine job documentation to confirm that all finishing, packaging, and shipping requirements are met.
  • Conduct product inspections to uphold quality standards and prepare items for packaging.
  • Monitor the material flow through machinery to identify any irregularities in cutting and winding processes.
  • Ensure the quality of output, including aspects such as color accuracy, size specifications, die cuts, perforations, print quality, and the quantity of packaged products.
  • Assist in the cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of conversion jobs.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal operation.
  • Replace or adjust blades on inspection machines as necessary.
  • Complete necessary documentation for each job and prepare finished products for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to established housekeeping standards.
