Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Quality Assurance Systems: Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
  • Conduct Quality Audits: Plan, schedule, and coordinate quality audits to ensure compliance with company standards, federal regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Inspect and Test Products: Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of subcomponents and assemblies; document results of those and other inspections.
  • Analyze and Report Defects: Identify and communicate issues raised, offering recommended solutions relevant to business and risk for any dimensional, process, or quality discrepancies discovered during the inspection process.
  • Investigate and Resolve Issues: Investigate, document, and analyze faulty processes and provide input for their resolution to managers and QA team.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field and certification by the American Society for Quality is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word computer software and ability to use standard precision inspections tools, such as coordinate measuring machines, micrometers, veneers, calipers, and gage blocks.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements and Hazards
  • Work Environment: The employee will be required to stand while working with machinery, sit during computer work, make repetitive movements, operate a forklift and overhead crane, and lift no more than 50 pounds alone and assist in team lifts of more than 50 pounds.
  • Hazards: The employee may be exposed to burns, cuts, and tripping, and may be required to use personal protective equipment.
