Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily management of ride operations and allocate tasks to team members.
  • Ensure all rides within the designated area are certified and compliant with safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce the Rides training program, ensuring adherence to all training protocols and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain a divisional schedule; assist in targeted recruitment efforts as necessary.
  • Address guest inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Engage and motivate Area Supervisors, Unit Supervisors, Operators, and Attendants.
  • Guide Area/Unit Supervisors and Team Members to optimize operational efficiency and throughput.
  • Evaluate the skills and performance of department personnel.
  • Mentor Team Members in areas such as guest service, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the growth and development of Unit Supervisors.
  • Complete and manage all necessary documentation and audit forms utilized in the department.
  • Uphold all company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in various capacities within the Rides Department as needed.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Effective communication skills in English, including reading, speaking, and comprehension.
  • Prior experience in ride operations is required.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Experience:
Previous experience as a Ride Operator is essential; Area Supervisor experience is preferred.

Complexity of Duties:
Strong communication skills are necessary. Ability to perform well under pressure and in emergency situations is crucial. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Supervision Received:
Work closely under the guidance of the Rides Management Team.

Errors/Safety:
Inaccuracies in performance, mismanagement of documentation, improper training, or failure to comply with operational policies may lead to safety incidents. Errors may result in disciplinary measures, including termination.

Contact with Others:
Frequent interaction with guests, team members, Unit Supervisors, and Area Supervisors within the Rides Department.

Confidential Data:
Access to sensitive information, including reports, training materials, and safety documentation.

Mental or Visual Demand:
Requires standard visual and cognitive abilities.

Physical Demand:
Involves continuous standing or sitting, bending, lifting, and coordination. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs consistently.

Working Conditions:
Primarily outdoor work in close proximity to others. Must be able to endure various weather conditions for extended durations.
