Position Overview:


As a Pharmacy Support Specialist, you will work under the guidance of a Pharmacist and a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Your role will involve training to process unit dose orders and maintain patient medication records, alongside undertaking more advanced responsibilities throughout your training, with the aim of becoming a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software applications
  • Adept at operating necessary office equipment
  • Ability to interact effectively with various departments and the public
  • Capable of maintaining confidentiality and working independently with minimal oversight
  • Consistent and punctual attendance at the designated work location
Qualifications:
  • Valid Oregon Pharmacy Technician License
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Completion of a medical terminology course or relevant experience in a medical setting is preferred
Experience:
  • Preferred: One year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting
