Rehabilitation Therapist

Position Overview:
This role involves providing direct physical therapy evaluation, assessment, screening, and treatment. The therapist will create a structured work schedule, prioritize tasks, and assess performance to formulate improvement plans. The position requires collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to evaluate the neurophysiological needs of patients, adapting various physical therapy techniques accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess new patients, adjusting treatment plans based on comprehensive case information.
- Conduct therapy sessions with individuals and groups, adhering to established treatment methodologies.
- Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records regarding patient diagnoses, treatments, and progress summaries.
- Collaborate with team members and specialists to determine patient care strategies and participate in management meetings.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as required by the position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth understanding of physical therapy principles, practices, and techniques, along with knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology.
- Proficient in evaluating patient needs and planning effective therapeutic programs.
- Ability to motivate patients and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills for documenting patient progress and interpreting hospital policies.
- Capacity to establish positive therapeutic relationships and implement effective treatment modalities.
- Willingness to travel or attend meetings at alternate locations as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with an advanced degree in Physical Therapy and those with experience in mental health settings.
Licensure Requirements:
Candidates must possess certification as a Physical Therapist and licensure by the relevant state board, or be eligible to obtain it within a specified timeframe.
