Job Title: Informix Database Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Informix Database Administrator to join our team at GovCIO. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of database management systems, as well as providing technical expertise and guidance to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain database management systems, including Informix, DB2, MySQL, and SQL Server.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team on database architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Perform data movement, troubleshoot issues, and write scripts to perform common database tasks.
  • Maintain complex databases, including JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection, and security.
  • Install, configure, migrate, restore, and monitor the security and performance of database systems.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, as well as prepare and deliver presentations on DBMS concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience, or commensurate experience.
  • Full knowledge of database management systems, including Informix.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in Informix configuration and administration, performance tuning, and backup and data recovery.
  • Basic scripting skills.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain Public Trust clearance.
