Role Summary:
This role is pivotal in steering the inventory optimization strategy for Archrock. The primary focus is to ensure a sufficient supply of products to fulfill customer service requirements while minimizing the investment in working inventory. This position involves conducting inventory demand assessments and implementing Min-Max planning across various business units and storage locations. The manager will also oversee the settings within the inventory planning systems to guarantee precise inventory forecasts and effective planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership in Planning (Approx. 50% of Time):
    - Formulate and execute effective planning strategies and methodologies for Archrock, encompassing tools, processes, and responsibilities.
    - Strive for enhancements in planning capabilities and functionality, including the management of process improvement initiatives.
    - Coordinate both direct and indirect planning resources to optimize inventory levels.
    - Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to inventory performance, proactively collaborating with the business to enhance these metrics.
  • Implementation of Inventory Planning Tools (Approx. 25% of Time):
    - Utilize advanced functionalities of inventory planning tools to optimize stocking levels.
    - Allocate team resources for periodic inventory planning across business units and assist as necessary.
    - Ensure comprehensive planning data is captured and effectively utilized for accurate outcomes.
  • Collaboration with Business Units (Approx. 25% of Time):
    - Act as the primary contact for business units regarding inventory planning matters.
    - Coordinate cross-functional inventory planning to support business objectives, including sales, customer service, and cost efficiency.
    - Participate in monthly reviews, providing recommendations for stocking level adjustments.

Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in inventory management, forecasting, and warehouse management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to interact with various levels within the organization.

Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
