Inventory Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Inventory Planner to join our team at Sysco. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving company inventory management goals for aligned suppliers, including exemplary customer service, purchase order accuracy, minimal spoilage and shrink, and managing inventory to the lowest possible Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a replenishment strategy that supports supply chain efficiencies, in conjunction with shipping and receiving, warehousing, order filling, picking, and packing, and inventory control and records management.
- Utilize inventory systems to achieve optimum inventory and service levels through supplier and item level settings, supply chain best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with local, market, and corporate merchandising teams, suppliers, and other functional areas to drive performance and achieve company goals.
- Manage inventory DSO, aged inventory, obsolete inventory, spoilage, and shrink to achieve company goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to execute the inventory depletion process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
