Mental Health Specialist

About the Role:
McLean Hospital is a leading psychiatric hospital dedicated to providing high-quality mental health services. We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Tech to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Assist the RN in providing direct patient care and ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain professional boundaries.
- Participate in patient rounds and teams, and complete patient care assignments.
- Identify patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations and utilize de-escalation techniques.
- Communicate changes in patient status to the RN and follow established Standards of Care and protocols.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in direct patient care preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to work in collaboration with others.
