Nursing Care Specialist Job Description

At August Healthcare at Richmond, we are seeking a skilled Nursing Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident condition, including falls, injuries, or illnesses.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of care.
Requirements:
  • Current RN or LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices, policies, and procedures.
