Claims Management Supervisor

The Claims Supervisor, First Report Unit, is a key member of our team responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the First Report Unit. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the First Report Unit team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and high-quality service delivery.
- Conduct quality analysis and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Train and mentor new team members, as well as provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including service levels and phone coverage.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and exceptions in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare and submit service requests for First Notice of Loss (FNOL) changes.
- Participate in system testing and document results.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets for tracking various results as requested by management.
- Interview candidates and make hiring recommendations.
- Provide performance feedback to team members.
- Schedule staff and ensure adequate coverage.
- Complete analysis of available metrics for continuous improvement within the organization.
- Collaborate with other units in the office and company to provide support and share best practices.
- Be available for problem-solving during off-hours, as needed.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- 5 years of claims or other applicable experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, and Internet).
- Working knowledge of ClaimsPro, FNOL, Polstar, and Image Right.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
